Contradicoes obvias...

"José Sócrates, the outgoing prime minister, insisted last month that Portugal had no need of outside help, and said he was “not prepared to govern with the IMF”, tapping into a strong current of leftwing feeling against the organisation.

After requesting a bail-out last week, however, Mr Sócrates will lead political talks on rescue terms with the EU and IMF next week before seeking a third term in office in polls on June 5."
